I have a calendar that I actually write stuff in and use.... am I growing up? I actually am planning things in advance... who is this person?!?!
I hate school for making me a more responsible person... I like the old carefree, wing-it, go with the flow me... uff da.

We'll never stop this train.
This weekend I went to go visit an old friend of mine whom has moved to CO about 6 months ago. It was a weird trip to say the least. I have come to realize just how much life can change and I don't think I was ready for that revelation quite yet. Everything is changing.... there's no stopping it. My life this summer has just felt like a whirlwind. Not just changes happening in my life but in the lives of the ones I love. When did we all grow up so fast? How has everything become so different?
I am seeing it everywhere. I recently have gotten together with college friends and just in speaking with them I know that life will never be like it was on the VU campus. We have all gone our separate ways on our separate journeys. Although, we do try to keep in contact but in all reality who knows how long these ties will remain. My hope is that these ties will never break. No matter where we go or what we do, we will always be connected. Is that just wishful thinking or have I honestly hit the friendship jackpot?
After saying goodbye to so many friends, I can 't help but feel...sad and lost...these friendships.. they're the time of my life. They're a gift that I never want to take for granted and definitly never ever lose.
In the midst of the saddness, I am also incredibly excited! I am excited to see my friends being used to their full potential; being stretched in new and interesting ways; using their gifts to bring about beauty; finding happiness...it truly excites me to see God working in all their lives. And though His will will takes us on different paths, I have to believe that God has placed these people in my life and that with love and a little sacrifice... I will never lose these friends. As much as I would love to have stopped this "train " (thank you John Mayer for the analogy)back in UG, I know that there is something far more exciting down the tracks (cheesy, I know. But go with me) that is well worth the trip :) To ALL my friends out there... I love you, I wish you all the best, and I long for the next reunion!

Holy Moly... its been a while (Here's the Update)
Hey all (she says as if she has thousands of followers...and in third person). Man, I haven't blessed you all with my wit in a little over a year.... How have you lived?
seriously though, I forgot how relaxing this is to write the random thoughts in your head... I hate my neighbors... see so therapeutic. One moment I wanted to storm up stairs and give them a piece of my mind and now I will settle with talking bad about them behind their backs :)
So for those of you who do not know. I am currently working on my doctorate for physical therapy... whoo hoo... uff da its gonna be a while :) I am loving it like a smoker loves to quit... its torture but you know its for the best and by the end it will be worth it. just finished my first clinical and it was amazing. By the end of my 2 mo. I had taken over 95% of my CI (clinical instructor- a PT)'s patients. I have never rubbed so many backs, necks, feet, legs, and groins in my life. Yes, you heard me right... groins- they get tight too. Anyways, through this experience I have found that.... old people love me... haha and it has made me seriously consider going into geriatric PT. Just a thought for now :)
I am back in MN and loving it! (for those of you who think MN sucks, well its obvious you've never truly experienced it-just saying). MN in the summertime is gorgeous... green EVERYWHERE! I love it! Its also really nice to be near home and get free groceries from my parents ;)
This past weekend I went to Utah because my old roomie and bestie just got married. It was a beautiful wedding with a beautiful bride. It was so great to see my UG buddies since, for most, it has been a year since I have seen them. I really miss hanging out with such a great group of people. It was so fun seeing how we all have gone our separate ways but when brought together it seemed like we were never apart. I love that :)
FYI- Nicole and I have decided that CO is going to be the place where we all end up living. It will be our own VU alumni community :) So start making your plans to move there.
Anyways, thats about all that I can think of to update my followers on but I hope you didn't miss me too much and I will try to write on here more often. Peace!

Laziness
lazy (adj.)
unwilling to work or use energy.
This is how I would define my spring break. I have done nothing for an entire week, and it has been AWESOME!!!! I was going to crank out my senior project this week and then I said screw it... this is my break! SO I am proud to declare that I HAVE DONE NOTHING AT ALL this week :) Writing this blog is the most I have done in 6 days.
My days have consisted of waking up at 10:30 am, showering- never really doing my hair or make-up (which is totally liberating), eating a bowl of cereal while watching a tv show (Desperate Housewives- don't judge me), laying out by the pool listening to music and reading a book, renting red box movies and eating pizza at night, having my own dance party in my house (totally got caught by a neighbor while I was busting out my sweet moves in front of the window :) totally awk. but I got over it), organizing my itunes (a lot of my musica didn't have a listing for genre- now they all do), and I went on a bike ride. This week has been a blast. A whole week of I (introvert) time was the best way to spend my spring break.

Hugh Jackman...Rarrr!
So this weekend I saw Australia and Hugh Jackman was in it and I must say... he is not bad looking. Plus this movie further proves my theory that men with accents are just so darn sexy. Now I have always thought Hugh Jackman was good looking but this movie has put him on a whole new level. There were multiple times when my roommate and I had jaw dropping experiences. I highly recommend that people go see this movie, not only for the hottness of Hugh Jack man (rarrr), but it really was an amazing movie. I can't say that the movies I have seen lately have given me the WOW factor. But when I walked out of Australia I really was impressed by how well made it was. So do go see it, it is worth the price.
I want to go to Australia.... ;)

Blessed
I have realized this week how stinking blessed I truly am. This realization came to me yesterday when the floor sons blessed the crap out of me. They bought Catherine and I season passes to D-land!!! They stinkin rock! I seriously almost cried when they told me. How do I deserve such kindness, I kept thinking to myself. I then started to think about what else in my life are blessings and this is what I have come up with.
I have the most amazing family in the world. My parent are super supportive of what I do, they treat me with respect, they help me when I need it (no questions asked, no judgement), they tell me everyday how much they love me, and they let me know that I am lovely. My brother and I have a great relationship, he is my best friend. AND he is marrying one of my closest friends which makes him so much cooler. My grandparents are so much more than I could ever ask for. They are great examples of what Godly followers should be. My grandpa Donnie was an amazing example of what it meant to have a servant's heart and to be humble and giving. I miss him very very much. My cousins all have such amazing character and I love each one more than they know. And I am super excited to have Janell as family soon. She has already made a great addition and I can wait to have her as a sister.
I am able to go to college in california! This experience has been the best I have ever had.
I have the most amazing friends. Jessica and Emily have been close to me since I was in 6th grade and I don't ever see me losing that. They are the funniest, craziest, most amazingest friends ever, and I can't wait to see them in december!
I have the greatest roomies. I seriously couldn't have picked anyone better to live with. We have so much fun in our apartment and we all get along. We make super cool music videos, we have great snuggle times, we know how to relax, we have blogging parties...its great fun!
We have wonderful floor sons...those guys seriously rock. They are always over and we love their company, they rock at flag football, and they are such a blessing!
I am blessed in so much more and this blog would go on forever, but these are the ones that have blessed me most recently. I love you all, and thanks for being wonderful.
